Space Center

Author: Calen
Built for Update 3
vU3.1.1

Description

The Space Center is designed to take you through the stages of space research, exploration, and mining. There are five stages to the Space Center. The first two stages will support the Early Space Center until such time as you are able to build stage 3 and launch rockets on site.

The installation guide can be found here: https://imgur.com/a/space-center-ELjvKfP

Stages of the Space Center:

  • Stage 1: Crew Supplies
  • Stage 2: Station Parts & Electronics IV
  • Stage 3: Rocket II Assembly & Launch
  • Stage 4: Space Probes
  • Stage 5: Asteroid Boosters

@Mordret - You're welcome! @Imsikruwi - I know. I'm sorry. See the alert at the top of the description. I tried rolling back to the main branch, but all my blueprints disappeared and I almost fainted. :D

@Calen - I designed a transport BP for this complete with bridge I could share to you to verify that it is proper and correct. Let me know and I can share the BP string to a file on Github for you to grab. I was not able to test all the functions as I was using older map and save that did not have the new ores available on it. Tested to only Level 2 space lab.

Is missing water!

I'm having some issues in U3 with this blueprint and also the FBR Mega Station one. I'm wondering if the ratios or something have changed. I just got stage 5 of this one laid, fully fueled both FBR reactors (both with Core Fuel and Blanket Fuel). However, as time goes on, I'm noticing the blanket fuel in both is dropping, when that runs out, I am guessing I am also going to begin having shortages of core fuel?

Warlok · 12 months ago

@cabadam same issue here.

Hail · 5 months ago

It looks like when placing Stage 3 the mill next to the third farm is blocking a pipe from being placed. You can just manually fix it. Maybe they changed the collision of buildings since this was posted.

Hail · 4 months ago

Does this not do basic parts?

DopeEx · 4 months ago

This BP no longer seems to work with Update 4 because the ratios for FBR fuel and its production have changed.

Warmachine · 3 months ago

I'm not seeing an issue other than, during your initial buffer filling, the pipes handling Blanket/Enriched Blanket are too small, meaning you'll never get max throughput. Otherwise, no. The ratios are all fine.

There are other problems--the use of Organic fertilizer on the mixer with insufficient buffer leads to the sugar frequently jamming as the biomass belt fills up, leading to choked ethanol production which chokes lens production which ultimately means less than the rated production of E4, probes, and boosters. Among others.

If you're going to use this blueprint you'll need to tweak it, but the FBR isn't really the biggest offender here.
