Adding mods to a savegame

Is it possible to add mods to a current save? If so, how? It seems I can only activate mods on a new game.

Use the LOAD menu instead of the CONTINUE button.

When you select a save in the load menu, you have the Mods & DLCs button.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME HOW TO LOAD MODS I TRIED TO PUT IT IN THE MOD FILE BUT ITS NOT WORKING
